Returns policy
At KHS Bikes our priority is to ensure that you are happy with your purchase. In the unlikely event that you are not, you are entitled to return your goods within 7 working days of receipt for an exchange or refund (less collection and insurance costs of £30.00). You can call us to discuss alternative bikes or sizes.
Any item including bikes (unless varied from standard to customer ‘customised’ requirements) can be returned to us for any reason provided it is returned in ‘showroom condition’ as supplied with its original packaging and with a valid receipt. For guidance ‘showroom condition’ means you cannot have ridden the bike outside – so we recommend you use your front room as a showroom. Lean the bike against a wall and get the saddle height about right trying not to scratch the seat post. If you have concerns about sizing we may have solutions – it might be as simple as needing a longer/shorter stem.
If you decide to return, please replace all the frame/fork protection packaging and plastic rear mech protectors and bubble wrap around brakes and shifters. Make sure the box is well sealed with suitable packing tape (we can send you some). We may email you a return docket that needs carefully fixing to the top of the box.
Refunds will be processed using the same method of payment used for the original purchase and we are obliged to make such refunds no later than 30 days from the date of return but would normally activate the refund once the bike condition has been has been assessed on return.
Credit and debit card refunds must be made to the card used for the original purchase, cheque payments will be refunded in cash but due to banking restrictions can only be refunded at least 14 days after the original purchase date. Due to the high incidence of fraud we regret that we are unable to offer any refund without a valid receipt. Please contact us if it is a finance purchase to verify current practice used by the finance provider.
How do I return a bike?
If you wish to return your bike please contact us to arrange a special courier collection. Contact us on 01799 516441 or via our contact enquiry form. The (no profit) collection charge is £30.00 which covers the cost of collection, return to us and insurance to protect you should it get lost or damaged in transit. This may be increased if you are not in at time of agreed collection and a repeat collection attempt is required. If you have discarded your box we can send you one at cost.
