So on our Euro trip, we raced 3 weekends. The first weekend was in Afar, Wales, I rode well, getting a 5th place the first weekend at the British National Series race in Afan. The second weekend was the World Cup in Fort William, Scotland. After dabbing down a foot in one of the corners, I qualified 26th and finished 28th, after falling in 2nd place in the 2nd round of racing. I was riding very well, and felt strong.

The next weekend was the 3rd round of the World Cup Series in Leogang, Austria. Rain was threatening all week, and the skies finally opened up midway through practice on Friday, right before qualifying. I put in a good time, with just a few errors in qualifying and ended up 15th going into Saturday, race day. Race day came, and so did the rain. I was riding well all practice, and made it through the first round pretty easily, and going into the second round, felt good, I was in qualifying position behind Michael Prokop, when the 3rd place rider took me up in the second turn. After that, I couldn’t manage to slide past him, and I was out the second round once again.

So far this has been a really good learning year for me, I am thankful for the opportunity to go, and do what I love. I plan on stepping it up for the final 2 rounds of the World Cup series, and putting in some good results for the good ol’ USA. I am making a stop this weekend in Crested Butte for a Dual Slalom race, and then I will be heading up to Quebec for the 4th round of the World Cup.
