KHS Bikes
The 2011 KHS Bike range represents a leap forward for us with all new 120mm and 140mm mtb suspension frames still using the horst link under licence from Specialized. All the mountain bikes, including our hardtails, have significant spec changes and improvements with new spec choices from Sram Avid Rockshox and 30 speed sram and shimano dyna sys on bikes at better price points than our competitors.
Mountain hardtail
The Alite 2000 hardtail is our most successful hardtail. You can't argue with MBR dirty dozen winner for two years running with a straight ten on both occasions and a bike of the year shortlisting. Mountain full suspension
We are the only mainstream bike brand in the USA with a licence from Specialized to use the patented and fiercely protected horst link four bar suspension system. We use it because it works! The 2012 XCT bikes build on our test review success in 2011 and got even better specs and a price reduction.
Mountain 29er
KHS are not jumping on a bandwagon here but we are pleased to see 29ers finally getting the recognition they deserve (and winning world cup races!) . We have had 29ers in our line up for several years so we know our bikes work. 29ers are a no brainer for taller riders and also suit riders that ride with momentum, either xc/marathon style, flowing single track or bridleway munching. Those wheels seem to float and love spinning. On tougher trails the tyres iron out obstacles and just make you a better rider. Our hardtail frame has won a four bike test in MBUK against a Niner and On One. Our 29er full sussers have a cult following with dialled geometry (from years of 29er experience) and are perfectly specced and just happen to be the same price as many other manufacturers frames.
Road
The KHS Flite 500 is a Cycling Plus Sub £1000 sportive bike test winner. KHS can offer Carbon MME frame technology, higher component levels and contemporary 'all-day' geometry and pricepoints where other manufacturers offer basic, harsh riding alloy frames and compromised components. The 500 keeps all its best qualities for 2012 and the 750 takes it a stage further with Carbon MME downtube and higher spec to give you an 'SL' version of the successful 500. KHS have been making road bikes and have worked closely with Reynolds since the mid Seventies to produce frames and bikes that have found a place in the hearts of privateer racers and riders the world over that can see the quality of our workmanship.
